Extended Access & Out of Hours

Outside normal surgery hours, if you urgently need to see a doctor please telephone 111.
After 6.30pm on weekdays, on all weekends and bank holidays, calls will be taken by Herts Urgent Care on telephone number 111.
Herts Urgent Care is staffed by GPs from the local area based at the QE2 and Hertford County Hospitals.
If you need emergency medical attention you will normally be asked to attend one of these centres although there are facilities to visit you at home.
Please do not go to Herts Urgent Care without phoning first because the service is by appointment only.
Non-urgent advice: Extended Access
The extended access service continues to offer evening appointments (18:30-20:30) and weekend appointments (Saturday 08:00-17:00) with a GP, nurse, or other healthcare professional.
This service is provided to patients registered at the following surgeries: Dolphin House Surgery and Puckeridge & Buntingford Medical Centre.
