Online Repeat Prescription Requests

If you have a SystmOne account you can request your repeat medication online. This facility is for ordering your repeat medication only. Requests made more than 7 days before your medication is due will not be accepted. If you are ordering early ie as away on holiday, please specify this in your request. All prescription requests must be made in writing, either online or on paper handed into the surgery. We can not accept requests over the telephone.

Please note the turnaround time for issuing prescriptions is two working days.

You can also request repeat medication via the NHS App. If you do not have this, you can find more information here.

Acute Prescriptions & Under 16’s

If you do not have an account, would like to request acute medication or make a request for a patient under 16, you can complete our online form. Or use the NHS app that is available from aged 13 up.

Urgent Same Day Prescription Requests

Due to the high volume of prescription requests that come into the surgery on a daily basis, we will only be able to process same day urgent requests for the following medication that has been identified by our GPs that are potentially life threatening if not administered:

  • Insulin Medication
  • COPD/Asthma Medication
  • Epilepsy Medication
  • Oral Steroids

Any items not covered above, will be issued within two working days.

It is the responsibility of the patient to allow enough time to place their medication order.  This request can be made up to 7 days in advance of being due.

Local Pharmacies
